We made it through our first FULL week of third grade! The class is enjoying getting used to the third grade routine and so am I! In room 13 this week, you would have seen........
- Habit 1: Be Proactive-- introduced and practiced. Students learned that when they take initiative and responsibility for their actions and attitudes, they stand out as LEADERS!
- The class blasting off into space! We had to use our knowledge of geography skills to locate our landing spot. Your child should be able to tell you what hemisphere, continent, country, city and state we live in.
- Writing PERFECT paragraphs that include a topic sentence, at least 3 detail sentences, and a conclusion sentence.
- Students practicing making good predictions about our reading story, "Those Shoes." We use the title, illustrations, and details from the text to predict what's going to happen next.
- Our first problem solving day in math! We learned the first two steps of our problem solving process and practiced with our partner. We'll learn step 3 next week. Watch below to begin learning about how we problem solve in third grade!
