We did it! We made it through our first week of third grade. It was such a busy, fun-filled week. I'm wondering if your child came home as exhausted as their teacher?! We had a blast learning the third grade basics, making new friends, and gearing up for what's ahead this year. Take a peek at some of the activities we did this week!

| We read the book Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun about a little girl who has the courage to make the right choices and remain who she is, even though a classmate continues to tease her. At the end of the book, the little girl ends up becoming friends with the same classmate who was giving her trouble. We LOVED this book! After reading, each student was partnered up with a classmate they didn't know very well and completed a getting to know you activity. Ask your child who their new friend is and what they learned about them! |
