My SUPERHEROES soared through the day today! What an awesome way to support BRAVE Brooks!
Weekly Recap:
- In Math, we worked on describing the likelihood of an event, finding the difference between two numbers, and a little bit of elapsed time (a TRICKY 3rd grade skill!)
- In Social Studies, we've been working on our map skills. Students used their knowledge of cardinal and intermediate directions to find locations around the room.
- The kids had so much fun in writing this week brainstorming lists that we'll use to help us write stories.
- In reading, we worked on using character traits to describe Jeremy from our story Those Shoes. We learned that Jeremy was DETERMINED and THOUGHTFUL. When we choose character traits, we have to able to support those traits with details from text! Students should ask themselves, 'How do I know that Jeremy is determined and thoughtful?"
- It was also PAYDAY today! Students were so excited to receive their checks, sign them, and take them to the bank!
